Coco’s Island is perhaps one of those places that if you know it exists, you will likely want to visit. Located in the Pacific Ocean, some 550 km away from Costa Rica’s mainland, the island is home to a unique weather and an incredible flora & fauna, only exceeded by its great and diverse marine life. The only scarcities in the island are ugly humans, which has been great as it has helped to preserve its beauty and balance.
The island was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997, named one of the 10 scuba-diving spots in the world, a regular visit from legendary oceanographer Jacques Cousteau (Are you old enough to know who he is?), and of course a great place to hide your treasures if you were a pirate.
We thought that by designing this book we will finally get our chance to visit the island, but that was not the case, nonetheless we dove deep (no pun intended) into the project and created a spectacular visual journey of the island through the eye of world-known photographers.
Take a deep breath and immerse yourself.
